Naturopathic Medicine is a distinct primary health care profession that combines modern science with the wisdom of nature, focusing on promoting wellness and preventing disease.

A registered Naturopathic Doctor must have at least 7 years of post-secondary education and training. This includes completion of 3 or more years of pre-medical sciences at a University followed by 4 years of post-graduate training at an accredited Naturopathic medical school. Graduates must also complete 2 sets of North American Board Exams and maintain ongoing continuing education in order to have an active license to practice.

Naturopathic practice is regulated under the Ontario provincial law, similar to other family doctors, and is covered by most health benefit plans. Check with your insurance provider to get the most out of your health care plan.

Naturopaths treat patients of all ages, providing individualized evidence-based therapies while enforcing and encouraging the body’s inherent ability to restore and maintain optimal health.

We offer many healing modalities at OM. Of which, many date back to hundreds of years ago in our history. Energy healing has been used for generations to heal the mind, body, soul and spirit.
We offer Reiki, and Huna energy healing at OM. They are both energetic healing modalities, but they do differ.

Reiki, offered by Samantha is an energetic treatment that promotes relaxation, and reduces stress & anxiety through gentle touch and energy work, releasing stagnant energy in the body. Reiki practitioners use their hands, delivering energy to your body, improving the flow and balance of energy to your body to promote healing.
Mikao Usui developed reiki in the early 1900s, deriving the term from the Japanese words rei, meaning “universal,” and ki, which refers to the vital life force energy that flows through all living things. Now, reiki is used all over the world, including in hospitals and wellness settings to complement other forms of health treatments.
During your sessions with Samantha, you’ll have the opportunity to receive reiki, align from within and relax into your being for 60 minutes in our tranquil environment. Feel supported and cared for through your Reiki journey, and experience deep inner peace, and healing.

Huna is a relaxing yet powerful energy focused approach to healing offered by Kristen. Huna energy work is an ancient form of healing science from Hawaii, using mana, the life force energy that flows through all living things. We are made of energy as are our thoughts and feelings. When we experience stress, present or past, our natural flow of energy is disrupted. This will show up in our health, physically, mentally and emotionally. Kristen will use life force energy through her hands to raise the energetic frequency. Relief will be felt after each healing as the body moves into this higher vibration of lightness and ease.

We are fortunate to have skilled energy healers at OM, and encourage everyone to give these ancient alternative modalities a try!

Zach was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario. His interest in rehabilitation came from receiving treatment over many years for multiple sports injuries. As an athlete, he understands how important it is to seek treatment to heal injuries, but also that regular treatment and self care is essential to preventing them.

Zach graduated from the Accelerated Massage Therapy program at Ontario College of Health and Technology in April of 2022. Prior to attending OCHT, Zach graduated from McMaster University with an Honors Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology.

During his career, Zach has worked with patients from all walks of life. His practice incorporates a wide range of different techniques, along with a home exercise program that empowers his patients to take their treatments into their own hands.

Kristen has been a Registered Massage Therapist for over 15 years, and is joining our crew primarily at our Waterdown location.

Kristen has been registered massage therapist for over 15 years, and a Huna Energy Practitioner for nearly a decade. She brings both of these services to OM, primarily at our Waterdown location.

Her passion to help others, and her holistic approach towards health meant that this profession was a natural choice for her.

As she began her career as an RMT, Kristen quickly understood the importance of self care and the impact these habits have on our health and well being. Kristen believes our body is always trying to communicate with us and when we listen, we will be guided to exactly what we need.

During her own experiences with health challenges, Kristen discovered the Hawaiian energy healing practice of Huna. She was both surprised and grateful for how powerful and effective this new modality was. She knew she had received a gift in finding Huna and was inspired to share it with others.

While Kristen was on her year long initiation, from practicing Huna on herself and anyone willing to try it to becoming a certified practitioner, she continued to learn. She took classes on mindfulness, meditation and attended Gabriel Bernstein’s masterclass in NYC, an immersive training for spiritual entrepreneurs in the wellness space.

Kristen blends everything she has learned to help empower others!

She is excited to share this healing modality at OM. Whether it be a relaxing or treatment focused massage, a deeply healing Huna energy session or a combination, - Kristen looks forward to meeting you where you are and helping you get to where you want to go!

Kristen loves walking in forests, pottery, everything plants and interior design!
